Tayberry and Apple Jam



  • 2 cups chopped and peeled apples
  • 2 cups tayberries
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 120ml water
  • 90ml liquid fruit pectin


  1. Mix the above ingredients apples, lemon juice, sugar, water and tayberries. Cook over average heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. Further add sugar and pectin to the mixture and heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Ladle the mixture into jars, affix lids and allow to cool.
  4. If the jars don’t seal, place them into warm water for 10 minutes and then let them cool.
