Silvanberry and Applecrumble



Filling :

  • 750g fruit (silvanberries and apples finely diced)
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Lemon juice or orange juice may be added to enhance the flavour

Crumble :

  • 120g self-raising flour
  • 100g low salt butter
  • 6 tablespoons sugar


  1. Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl and place in a baking dish.
  2. To make the crumble, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles bread crumbs. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in sugar and sprinkle topping over the fruit.
  4. Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) until heated through and brown on top.
