A small deciduous shrub often used as a small hedge around vegetable gardens. The fruits contain high amounts of Vitamin C and E.

This plant produces clusters of juicy, strong-flavoured black berries during summer. The fruit can be eaten fresh, used in jams, candies or liqueurs.
GROWING CONDITIONS
Prefers organic matter in full sun.
PLANT CARE
Mulch to retain soil moisture and water to keep the soil cool. Prune heavily during winter to remove older and less productive wood. Leave shoots of approx 10cm to bear the following seasons crop.
